mixxt Small Communities Privacy Policy

  2. Personal information you provide via the website under the URL http://www.mixxt.net or websites of the mixxt portals relating thereto, are collected, used and processed by mixxt GmbH (“mixxt”). Mixxt is a responsible body within the terms of the German Federal Data Protection Act (“BDSG”).

  3. Registration on our website
  4. In order to use our website you must first register on our website with your email address and a password of your own choice. Please do take care to keep your password secret to avoid data abuse.
    To enable the use of our website, the IP address communicated by your computer as well as the time period of use are stored. This data is deleted after the purpose of collection is dispensed with. The IP address collected upon registration, termination and order as well as date and time remain stored as so called asset or inventory data (“Bestandsdaten”) for purposes of proof and identification.
    Upon request mixxt gladly provide you with information on data stored under your user name. Simply send an email to info@mixxt.net.

  5. Kind, scope and purpose of usage of data
  6. The data you provide upon registration is used for the purposes agreed contractually, i.e. to enable usage and operation of the mixxt portals and to facilitate contractual communication and in so far as agreed for fulfilling further services.
    In addition thereto data is only used for information and advertising purposes if you have given your respective consent, e.g. by signing up for our newsletter by click on our website.
    In so far as you are using paid services offered by mixxt, accounting data, e.g. your credit card number, is collected and used to calculate and bill the services ordered by you.
    All data collected by mixxt is stored electronically.

  7. Third parties

Third parties only gain access to your data in so far as mixxt uses these for operating the mixxt portals and its services, e.g. a service provider hosting the mixxt portal and the data generated in connection therewith. These businesses undertake towards mixxt to comply with applicable data protection law, e.g. the BDSG or TMG.
    Further, mixxt may be obliged to provide data to third parties, e.g. prosecution authorities, by law. Apart from the provisions as set out above your personal data is not passed on to any third party without your prior explicit consent.
    In relation to the above please note that the offers provided on mixxt, e.g. a T-Shirt-Shop, may be provided by third parties. In this case you are explicitly made aware of this fact and upon use of such offers asked for your explicit consent via click as to whether mixxt may pass on your contact data to such a third party.

  9. Consent/Right to revoke
  10. If you explicitly consent to a certain use of your data on our mixxt portal, this is voluntary and at your sole discretion. You have the right to revoke such consent at any time with effect for the future.
    The consent to sign you up for our newsletter reads:
    “Yes, mixxt shall inform me regularly, i.e. usually once per week, per email via the mixxt newsletter on news, advertising, cooperation and other interesting offers. I may opt out of receiving the mixxt newsletter at any time by changing the preferences in my profile or via the link contained in the newsletter.”

  11. Cookies
  12. Cookies are small text files, stored on the harddisk of visitors of our website. Pursuant to the operation of our website, a temporary cookie is created on your harddisk which stores certain information during your visit, e.g. language and length of your stay on the mixxt portal. Furthermore a permanent cookie is created, which inter alia counts the number of visits, without connecting your computer automatically with your personal data.
    The information contained in cookies makes your navigation easier and facilitates a correct display of our internet pages. Cookies do not contain personal information. Our cookies are also not designed or usable to indentify you as a person. We use information stored by the cookies to analyse use of our mixxt portal and to enhance our offers.

  13. Deletion and blocking of data
  14. Your data provided to us upon registration for our website stays stored until you have cancelled your registration with us. Data is then deleted unless legal recording obligations exist. In such case data is blocked for further use.

  15. Changes to the data protection declaration
  16. mixxt may change these data protection declarations at any time. In case of changes which may be detrimental to you, mixxt shall inform you with due notice.
